Meeting friends at a cafe

Confirm seating, food and the meeting point.

Choose for the whole group

Ask what everyone needs from the visit before selecting a cafe. Compare the current menu, location and seating rather than choosing only from the decor. Discuss any important ingredient or accessibility requirements with the cafe directly.

Confirm the group arrangement

Check whether tables can be reserved and whether the whole party must arrive together. If seating is first come, tell the group that a table is not guaranteed. Ask about any booking terms before committing to a particular time.

Make the meeting point clear

Send the exact location and entrance details, especially where the business has several branches. Explain whether to meet outside, at the counter or at a reserved table. One clear message prevents guests from waiting in different places.

Keep the plan flexible

Confirm how ordering and payment work for the group. Give the cafe notice if a reservation changes and let late arrivals know the updated plan. If a quiet conversation is the priority, ask about the likely setting rather than assuming the room will be calm.
